Speed up your PC today.
If you receive the “Putty Invalid Port” error code, today’s user guide is here to help you.
I ran tests overnight on a Windows computer, your computer was connected to a BSD server. When I login
putty.-l username exe -pw password server.domain.com
putty.exe -t username password -p server.domain.Get com
i your notification window opens with a book with
PuTTY internal error and a message with
invalid port number . In fact, this is the only attempt I can get this error message on.
If you use a good password (mixed case, special characters, etc.), you will see that the password can be the source of the problem. Maybe try enclosing the password in quotes as usual
username putty.exe -l -pw "password" server.domain.com
Are the clients using the latest version of PuTTY? I am using 0.60, it seems the latest version.
Finally, I know this sounds very simple: do you enter the type manually on the command line during testing, or are your tests run as part of a larger script? For the sake of simplicity, I would make it work manually before trying to integrate it into a b A smaller process. For this reason, I would also like for remote control (
-m ) to start automatically while I try to fix this issue. It looks like yes, but it doesn’t hurt to check …
If you can’t tell me, wave your hand here. I cannot reproduce the problem if
-P is missing somewhere on the command line.
Why Do I Need To Enter Captcha?
Completing a CAPTCHA proves that the owner is a human and gives your company temporary access to ownership of the website.
What Can I Do To Prevent This From Happening Again In The Future?
If you have an emotional connection, such as at home, you can run a virus scan on a real device to make sure it is definitely not infected with malware.
If you are in an office or on a shared cell tower network, you can ask the network administrator to scan the entire network for misconfigured or affected devices.
Another way to prevent access to this page A big bet on the Internet in the future is to use the Privacy Pass. You can now download version 2.0 from a specific Firefox add-on store.
In case of using a custom SSH port (for example instead of 12712 of 22) and a hyphenated connection name (for example, “tssiprod-g”), WinSCP connects successfully, but when I try to log out on putty (Ctrl + P) putty error Invalid entry: port number.
I tested the same scenario which includes Putty separately, Putty can connect without error, so usually WinSCP error, always check. Many thanks.
WinSCP Version: All
Spatula version: 0.60 (latest)
SSH Server: OpenSSH_4.3p2
Host: CentOS-Release 5.6 (Final) Linux-Version 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5
Windows: WinXP SP3
I am unable to recreate the problem. I used the same number, same login name, PuTTY version on all ports.
After re-creating the problem, start PuTTY again to additionally try to open the “WinSCP Temporary Session” saved workspace. What does the game do?
Open “WinSCP Transient Session” again, no problem, Putty keeps waiting for the password.
My server was using the default port and twenty-two WinSCPs registered it with a specific person “tssiprod”. After changing prt and creating a new disk “tssiprod-g” an error appears.
Can WinSCP configuration or other files help track down the problem?
Have you saved your password in WinSCP? Is password passing enabled in PuTTY? If so, can you keep trying to deactivate and see if that helps?
Also try starting PuTTY from the following line as your only argument:
-load “temporary WinSCP session”
For your information, the password has become “8w} m Many thanks!
